Volunteers Needed For Mokena Village Clean-up Event

The cleanup event is set for Saturday, April 12. Volunteers will work in several locations throughout Mokena.

MOKENA, IL — The Village of Mokena’s Annual Clean-Up Day has been scheduled for Saturday, April 12, and volunteers are needed to help out.

Clean-up activities are scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon, and lunch will be held from noon to 1 p.m. at Village Hall.

Everyone is invited to assist in the clean-up. Meet at Village Hall, 11004 Carpenter St. shortly before 9 a.m., and don't forget work gloves. Mokena Publics Works crews will deliver volunteers to various areas in the community. Students can receive community service hours for their contributions.

At noon, volunteers will return to Village Hall for hot dogs, chips, and a beverage.
