Winter Weather Closings: Summit Hill D161 Opts For E-Learning

MOKENA, IL — Winter weather advisories have been issued in anticipation of a winter storm on Wednesday, and some schools are making adjustments to keep students safe.

The National Weather Service said the heaviest snow will be between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Significant travel impacts are possible, especially during the Wednesday afternoon and evening commutes.

Ahead of the incoming weather, several school districts across the area have announced early releases or e-learning days.
