Co-Chairs Sought As Naperville Begins Planning For Bicentennial

The volunteers will help city officials as they plan to celebrate Naperville's bicentennial in 2031.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville is set to celebrate its bicentennial in 2031 and the city is asking for volunteers to co-chair the 2031 Bicentennial Committee.

Two volunteers will be chosen to help organize and plan events, fundraisers and other details leading up to the celebration. Planning will begin in 2026 and the volunteer commitment will last into 2031.

Per a news release from the city of Naperville, ideal candidates should be "passionate about the Naperville community" and possess strong multitasking, communication and organizational abilities.

The volunteer co-chairs will also be tasked with recruiting other volunteers to serve on sub-committees.
