Get Out: Special Night, Hot Jazz and Dad's Day
Our weekly rundown on some events happening around town.

Music is the main thing this weekend with the Naperville Jazz Festival happening, along with the Rolling on the River series. And, of course, we can't forget that Dad's day is Sunday. Be sure to wish Dad a Happy Father's Day.

Fun with the family
Now is the time for the summer festivals to begin. If you like carnival rides and cotton candy be sure to take a quick trip over to Woodridge for the Jubilee. The Woodridge Park District and Village of Woodridge host this event, which includes live music and fireworks.

Free music on the river
If you like 80s post-punk music, think the Cure or Echo and the Bunnymen, then stop by the Rivewalk to listen to the band Gecko Club perform some of its original songs. The Naperville Park District hosts this musical event most Fridays throughout the summer.
Fun with Dad
Dad’s can enjoy some time with the kids at the and they get in free on Father's Day. The museum will be open on Sunday from noon-5 p.m.

Spend the morning fishing with mom or dad at the Morton Arboretum. This catch and release event will also teach how fish survive in the water.
Show your Jazz hands
Get some Jazz Fusion as Spyro Gyra headlines the 2011 Naperville Jazz Festival on Saturday in Central Park. A number of bands will be performing and proceeds from ticket sales will go to Project H.E.L.P. Beer and wine will be available for sale. Food may be brought in or purchased.
Want even more jazz? is serving up wine and jazz on Saturday night. The Nate Molby Jazz Trio will be performing from 7-10 p.m.
A special night for families
Families with children with special needs are invited to on Sunday evening to enjoy a relaxing night at the pool. The slide will be open and the cost to enter is $3.
