March Badness: Cops Say Naperville Man Bilked in Final Four Tix Scam

A Naperville man was bilked by an Iowa grifter in a deal for NCAA Final Four tickets, police said.

Jeffrey J. Swanson, 52, faces a charge of theft in connection with his alleged March scam.

A 59-year-old Naperville man wired cash to Swanson for an unspecified number of Final Four tickets, according to a criminal complaint filed in Will County court.

The Naperville man sent Swanson more than $500, the complaint said.

The Naperville police secured a warrant for Swanson’s arrest this week. The warrant carries a $100,000 bond.
