Naperville Man Gets 15 Years for Gas Station Robbery
A DuPage County judge has sentenced Antonio Alexander, 35, of Naperville, to prison for a 2011 gas station robbery, according to authorities.

A Naperville man has been sentenced to prison Thursday for the robbery of a Naperville gas station, according a DuPage County State's Attorney press release.
Antonio Alexander, 35, of the 30W 0-99 block of Valencia Court, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for stealing $83 from a cash register at Mobil Gas Station, 167 N. Rt. 59, late last year.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 15, 2011 when Alexander told the gas station clerk he had a gun in his pocket and demanded money. After the clerk gave him $83 from the register, Alexander fled the scene.

Police later learned that Alexander was using his hand inside of his pocket to make it appear as if he was armed and didn't actually have a gun on him, according to the press release.
Naperville police took him into custody and charged him with aggravated robbery, a Class 1 felony, as well as robbery and two counts of burglary, all Class 2 felonies, later that morning.

Alexander was indicted on the charge on Jan. 10. On Sept. 6, he entered a blind plea of guilty to one count of aggravated robbery in front of Judge Kathryn Creswell, who handed down today’s sentence, according to the DuPage County State's Attorney.
Alexander will be required to serve half of his sentence before being eligible for parole.
