Parents Talk: Cafeteria Lunches
What do you think about the food served in area school lunch rooms?

Many children are picky eaters, so sending them with a lunch to school may be a challenge.
Nowadays, most schools offer lunches for students. I remember enjoying the greasy pizza and French fries. As we now know, those aren’t healthy options.
A recent survey of families participating in the Indian Prairie School District 204 lunch program found that about 40 percent thought the food offered was adequate and 40 percent thought it was unacceptable and poor.

Cafeteria food has always been a bit questionable. With obesity rates among children on the rise and better knowledge of what a healthy diet means for children, we wonder what you think of the food being served in schools — regardless of what district your child attends.
