Parents Talk: Raising Genderless Children
Do you favor 'neutral approach' to a child?

When you were expecting, did you want to know the baby’s sex just to decide how to decorate the baby’s room or buy the correct clothing?
Maybe you decided to wait and be surprised, buying paint and clothing that would work regardless of whether the baby was a boy or a girl.
A couple in Canada has decided they aren’t interested in paint, decorating or buying the pink or blue clothing; they are raising their child without identifying its gender. The Toronto parents say they are raising baby Storm in this manner “to encourage a more neutral approach to the child.”

What do you think about the approach the couple is taking? Do you think it makes sense? Let the child decide how it sees itself?
Or do you think it will cause confusion to the child as it grows up? Please use the comment box below to answer.
