Police Blotter: Theft at Church, Damaged Lawn

Vandalism, property damage
A caller reported that between 11:59 p.m. Friday and 6:20 a.m. Monday paintballs were shot all over the south side of a school in the 1300 block of Olympus Drive. The paintballs caused no damage. It was also reported that the spray-painted letters RYN were found on a rooftop brick wall, police said.
Police said a 19-year-old man in the 0 block of Birchwood Drive reported at 8 a.m. that a rear window of his truck cab was shot out by a BB or similar projectile while parked in his driveway overnight.
It was reported between 7 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Springdale Circle that a ventilator cover on the roof of the building was removed over the weekend causing damage to the fan, police said.

An 83-year-old woman in the 2100 block of Hidden Valley Drive reported that between 6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday an unknown substance was poured on her back yard causing dead streaks in what was an otherwise perfectly manicured lawn, according to police.
A woman in the 1400 block of Aranell Avenue reported that between 10 p.m. Sunday and 5 a.m. Monday property was damaged and someone knocked over her mailbox, police said. Also, someone moved a lawn statue several houses over to a neighbors yard.

Trespass to vehicle
A 56-year-old woman in the 0 block of Franklin Avenue reported that between 10 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday her door and trunk of her vehicle were opened, but nothing was taken, police said.
Missing keys
A 39-year-old woman in the 1100 block of Cardinal Lane reported losing three keys on a key ring Friday at 9 a.m., according to police
Stolen license plate
Police said a 34-year-old man in the 300 block of Westbrook Circle reported that sometime between 12 p.m. on May 31 and 8 p.m. Sunday a license plate was taken off a trailer.
Stolen purse
A 59-year-old woman in the 1300 block of East Chicago Avenue reported that her wallet was taken out of her purse while she was helping out at church between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., police said.
Missing cell phone
A 48-year-old woman in the 2000 block of University Drive reported Monday that a cell phone was taken from the garage Saturday, police said.
