Police Blotter: Violating Parole, Stolen Sewer Grates

Naperville Police Department reports, Oct. 4

Unlicensed

Rogelio DeSantiago, 24, of the 700 block of Inland Circle, was arrested at 12:01 p.m. in the 400 block of 8th Street and Alan Road, where police said he was charged with driving without a license.

Violating bond

  • James Mitchell Gauen, 19, of the 600 block of Plainfield-Naperville Road, was arrested at 12:35 a.m. in the 900 block of Hidden Lake Road, where he was charged with violating a bail bond, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Isaiah Terrance Johnson, 20, of the 77000 block of South Shore Drive, Chicago, was arrested in the 700 block of South Route 59, where Naperville police said he was charged with violating bail, assault and retail theft. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrant arrest

  • Michael George Busse, 33, of the 1400 block of Galena, Aurora, was arrested at 8 p.m. in the 600 block of East Ogden Avenue and charged in connection with three warrants and possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams, police said. Police said they responded to a call for a fight and found Busse was wanted on warrants. During a search at the Naperville Police Department, officers said cannabis was found in his backpack. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Ihsan Suhel Ayyad, 21, of the 4700 block of Chokeberry Drive, turned himself in and was arrested at 6:18 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Avenue, where police said he was charged on a failure to appear warrant from Will County. His bail was $10,000.

Vehicle burglary

A 37-year-old woman in the 1600 block of Ishnala Drive reported that a vehicle parked in a garage at an apartment complex had a window smashed out overnight, police said. It appeared the owner’s manual had been taken.

Theft

Six curbside sewer grates were removed between Tuesday and Wednesday in the area of Shore Road and Golf Ridge Circle, police said. They were each valued at $105.

Criminal damage

A 54-year-old man in the 800 block of North Ellsworth Street reported that someone made a six-foot scratch along the driver’s side of his vehicle between Sept. 30 and 3 a.m. Tuesday, police said. The man said he believes his neighbor did it because of an ongoing dispute.
