Whiz Kids: Scholarship Winners

Each week Naperville Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

This week's nomination includes several Whiz Kids that merit notoriety. Check it out!

○      Whiz Kids’ names: Nan Zhao, Danica Yu, Jordan Hughes, Eileen Brister, Sheryl Wang and Casey Ytterberg.

○      Whiz Kids’ ages: High School           

○      Whiz Kids’ school: and high schools.

○      Whiz Kids’ accomplishments: Winners of college-sponsored merit scholarships from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

○      Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness (what made him/her successful?): The six students were selected from among the finalists in the 2011 National Merit Scholarship Program, according to District 204. Each sponsoring college will provide scholarships of $500 to $2,000 annually for up to four years.
