UPDATE: Flu Shots At Drive-Thru Clinic At Village Commons

The Village of New Lenox is teaming up with Jewel-Osco for a drive-thru flu shot clinic Oct. 24.

NEW LENOX, IL — Flu season is here, and the Village of New Lenox is teaming up with Jewel-Osco to offer a drive-thru flu shot clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 24 in the Village commons, according to Village officials.

The shots will be available for anyone ages 3 and up. Participants must remain in their cars and wear a mask, according to a news release from the Village. Shots will be administered by a Jewel-Osco pharmacist, according to the release.

Participants are asked to bring their insurance cards and a signed copy of a consent form. The consent form can be downloaded and filled out prior to arrival at the clinic by following this link.

Flu season typically starts in the fall and lasts through the winter, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Peak times for the flu are usually between December and February, according to the CDC.

Pneumonia shots will also be available upon request during the drive-thru clinic, according to the Village.
