New Lenox Community Rummage Sale: Skip The Garage
This community garage sale makes it so sellers don't have to advertise or even use their own garages.
NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox residents looking to get rid of some unwanted stuff around the house have a chance to do so at this year's Community Rummage Sale.
The sale, on Sept. 28, is expected to fill up quickly, so early registration is key (deadling is Sept. 21). It's sponsored by the Friends of the New Lenox Public Library, and all of the proceeds go to the library.
"This is an opportunity for you to have a garage sale without having to advertise or even use your own garage!" a flyer for the event says.

They're charging $15 for a parking spot for the sale, lasting from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. that Saturday. Sellers should bring their own tables, chairs and tents.
