New Lenox Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Motorcycle Crash: Officials

A New Lenox man died Sunday after his motorcycle ran off the road, according to the Will County Coroner's Office.

NEW LENOX, IL — The Will County Coroner's Office reported Sunday night via a Facebook post that a New Lenox man died after his motorcycle went off the road and ended up in a ditch.

Robert Schurman, 67, was pronounced dead at 6:02 p.m Sunday, according to the post. The crash happened on South Tulley Road just north of County Line Road in Wilton Center, according to the post.

The Will County Sheriff's Department is investigating the crash, according to the post.

Schurman's motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash, according to Will County Sheriff's Department officials. It remains unclear what caused the crash.

An autopsy was scheduled for Monday, Will County Coroner's office said.
