New Lenox Park District Again Offering Before, After School Care
The parks district said attendance before and after school care programs are limited to 50 students each. Registration is now open.
NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Community Park District will offer its usual before and after school care this year for District 122, the park district announced in a public letter Tuesday.
In the letter, the park district said it will add five school campuses to its roster this year to help prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.
Before and after school care will be held at Spencer Point, Spencer Crossing, Spencer Trail, Tyler, Bentley, Haines, Oakview, Nelson Prairie and Nelson Bridge, according to the letter.

The parks district stated it will help ensure students stay safe and healthy by following guidance from the local health department, the Illinois State Board of Education and the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
The park district will also help ensure student and staff by requiring masks for anyone inside a school building and offering activities that allow for social distancing. The letter states events will be held outdoors when weather permits.

Attendance will be limited to 50 students in the morning and 50 students in the afternoon per school building. Registration is currently open for a cost of $30. The parks district urges parents to register online as soon as possible.
