Put It In Park: Cruise The Commons Event Last Of Year Tuesday
Last chance this year for New Lenox residents to attend Cruise the Commons.
NEW LENOX, IL — New Lenox residents have one more chance this year to get their motor revving with Cruise the Commons from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at The Village Commons.
Cruise the Commons is free to attend and will feature classic vehicles on display. There is no fee for those wishing to show off their vehicles, according to the Village of New Lenox website. Participating vehicles can enter the Commons via Lincoln Highway or Haven Avenue beginning at 3 p.m., according to the Village.
Veterans Parkway will be closed to thru traffic during the event. Parking will be available in the south lot of Village Hall and behind Old Plank Trail Community Bank, according to the Village.

Also scheduled as part of the entertainment will be music by Wavelength, food trucks by Joey's Red Hots and Smokin' Z BBQ, and food and non-alcoholic beverages for sale by the New Lenox Community Park District, according to the Village.
The weather forecast for Tuesday calls for rain in the morning and afternoon, with a high of 72 and a low of 59. The Village said it plans to update its Facebook page with the latest information in the event of rain during Cruise the Commons.

Smoking is not allowed on the the Village Commons lawn during the event, and pets are not permitted, either.
