Route 30 Construction Updates: Outside Lanes of Traffic Closed in Both Directions

Route 30 Construction through town has the outside lanes of traffic closed in both directions beginning at Williams Street and moving east.

New Lenox Village Engineer Will Nash highlighted in a report that there will be work ongoing in various locations along the length of the project for the next couple of months. The reason for the lane closure is to give the contractor time to complete necessary work along the outside lanes.

Contractors will be focusing on grading, bike path improvements and temporary pavement removal along with curb and gutter work, he noted in an announcement on the Village website.
