Carjacking Injures Woman In Golf Mill Parking Lot: Police

NILES, IL — A woman was injured in a carjacking in the parking lot of a shopping center Wednesday in Niles, police said.

Around 9 a.m., a carjacker pulled a woman from the SUV she had just parked near AMC Theater, 301 Golf Mill Center, according to Niles police.

The attacker punched the motorist in the face and threw her to the ground during the struggle, police said, before driving away in her BMW X5.

The 48-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to police,

Police are looking for a man in his early 20s with a thin build and dark-colored pants.
