This FREE inclusive event includes youth activities, bounce house, face painting, fitness and sports programs, art, dance and more!

The North Suburban YMCA is excited to announce the inaugural Youth Explorer Expo, a brand- new event designed to bring families together for a day of fun, adventure, and discovery. The event will take place on January 12, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the YMCA’s Northbrook facility. Free and open to all ages, this interactive expo will allow families to experience a wide range of programming, connect with local community businesses in the youth industry, and participate in an adventurous passport activity that encourages exploration and active play.
“We’re thrilled to launch the Youth Explorer Expo as a fun way for families to discover all that the YMCA and our community has to offer,” said Ricky Gonzalez, Senior Director of Camp and Youth Programs at North Suburban YMCA. “This event will not only showcase our diverse youth programming at the Y but also give families the opportunity to connect with local businesses, try new activities, be creative and engage in active play together.”
Some highlights that day will include an adventurous passport activity that guides families through various stations across the YMCA facility. Each station will highlight different activities and programs, encouraging participants to engage, explore, and meet new people while having fun. The expo will feature opportunities for families to try new fitness programs, learn about community resources, and interact with organizations that specialize in youth services and programs. Other activities will include bounce house obstacle course, face painting, art projects and more.
