Woman Hospitalized After Purse-Snatching From Moving Car: Niles PD
Police said the 64-year-old had just exited Party City when she was robbed by a passenger in a small silver car.

NILES, IL — A victim of a parking lot purse-snatching was injured Thursday afternoon in Niles, police said.
A 64-year-old woman had just walked out of the Party City, 5651 W. Touhy Ave., when someone reached out of the back seat of a moving car and grabbed onto her purse, according to Niles police.
The woman fell to the ground, and the boy or young man sitting in the rear driver's side seat took her purse, police said.

The car was described as a small silver four-door sedan, last seen fleeing east through the parking lot of Village Crossing shortly before 3:30 p.m.
The woman was taken to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

No one used or brandished any weapons in the robbery, police said.
There were no detailed suspect or vehicle descriptions immediately available from representatives of the Niles Police Department, who asked anyone with information about it to call detectives.
