1 Dead, 1 Wounded After Shots Fired Inside Burbank Home: Police
Police said two men were found shot after officers saw a man run into a home in the 5300 block of State Road, then heard gunshots.
BURBANK, IL — One person is dead, and another remains hospitalized with injuries after police said they found two people shot inside a Burbank residence on Tuesday night.
Burbank Police responded to a home located at 5301 State Rd. around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, when officers said they saw a man run into the home. After the man ran into the residence, police said they heard several gunshots fired and found two men with gunshot wounds, police said on Wednesday.
One of the men was found dead and the other was found injured with gunshot wounds and was taken to Christ Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries. Police said that a gun was recovered at the scene and that the incident remains under investigation. Police did not indicate if the man seen running into the house was killed or wounded in the shooting.

Burbank Police did not immediately return a message from Patch seeking more information on Wednesday.
Police said the shooting is being considered an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the public. Police said that they would provide more information as it becomes available.
