Illinois School Report Cards: Here's How District 308 Did

OSWEGO, IL — The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) released its 2017-2018 Illinois Report Cards at the end of October, rating zero District 308 schools "exemplary," 10 as "commendable" and 10 as "underperforming" as measured by the new Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).

ESSA replaces the No Child Left Behind act and assigns the designations based on 10 indicators or performance including student growth.

According to Chalkbeat, statewide, 20 percent of schools were ranked as "underperforming" or "lowest performer," and nearly half of Chicago schools failed to meet performance standards.
