PALATINE, IL — A Palatine man is accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls as far back as January of this year, according to Cook County prosecutors. Santiago Rosales, 54, is charged with criminal sexual assault, and he was ordered held on $2.75 million bail Thursday, July 20, the Daily Herald reports. His next court date is Aug. 10.
According to prosecutors, Rosales sexually assaulted the girls, both 13, from January until this month at his home, the report stated. One of the girls said she felt faint after she was given a drink by Rosales, who knows the girls' families, the report added. The abuse was discovered after one of the girls told a younger relative, who in turn told an adult, according to the Herald. (Get Patch real-time email alerts for the latest Palatine news.
