'Active Incident' Resolved Peacefully In Plainfield: Police
Police said the incident was resolved just before 8:45 p.m.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield police said officers responded to an "active incident" near Crossing Drive and Springview Court on Sunday night, and it was "peacefully resolved" nearly two hours later.
In an alert posted just after 7 p.m., police asked residents to avoid the area. At 8:43 p.m., they said the situation was resolved and residents no longer needed to avoid the area.
Police did not release any additional information.

In July, the same area was the scene of a crash involving a 13-year-old motorcyclist who was seriously hurt when he crashed into a vehicle.
