Bicyclist Struck In Downtown Plainfield

Police said the cyclist was taken to Edward Hospital in Plainfield after being hit by a Ford F-150.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A bicyclist was hit in downtown Plainfield Thursday, suffering non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

According to Plainfield Police Cmdr. Anthony Novak, through an investigation and information from a witness, police determined that a 2020 Ford F-150 was exiting a business in the 24000 block of Lockport Street when it struck a cyclist who was heading west.

Plainfield police and Plainfield Fire Protection District responded to the crash around 6:30 p.m., and the cyclist was taken to Edward Hospital in Plainfield.
