Construction To Begin For Fort Beggs Shared-Use Path In Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, IL — Construction is set to begin on the Fort Beggs Shared-Use Path next week in Plainfield, officials said Friday.

The project will include a new 10-foot-wide asphalt path on the south side of Fort Beggs Drive extending from River Road to Route 59. Parts of the path will also be repaired and the pedestrian crossing will be upgraded.

The work is expected to be completed by the week of Aug. 5. Short-term lane closures on Fort Beggs Drive will occur during construction, officials said.
