Crash Leads To Jackknifed Semi, Blocked Lanes On I-55 Near Plainfield: ISP

PLAINFIELD, IL — A semi-truck jackknifed in a crash Wednesday afternoon on northbound Interstate 55 near Plainfield and Romeoville, according to Illinois State Police.

A semi crashed into the concrete median at about 2:11 p.m. near Renwick Road and proceeded to jackknife across the left and middle lanes, police told Patch. No injuries were reported.

All lanes reopened by 3 p.m. Police said they did not have additional information to provide as of 4:10 p.m.
