WILL COUNTY, IL — Due to extreme heat that could bring a heat index of 110 degrees and temps of 100, Waste Management is starting its trash and recycling pickup an hour early on Thursday and Friday. An excessive heat warning is in place for Will, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kanakee and other counties until 7 p.m. Saturday.

For customers across Will County — including Plainfield, Romeoville, Joliet and Shorewood — that means bins must be at the curb prior to the earlier pickup time of 5 a.m.
