PLAINFIELD, IL — "Hate has no home in this town." That's the message Werk Force Brewing Co. wants to impart with their latest beer release of the same name.

On Wednesday, the popular Plainfield brewery released a new India pale ale to share a message of unity and condemn the "brutal and senseless attack" of 6-year-old Wadee Alfayoumi and his mother, Hanan Shaheen, by their landlord on Oct. 14.

Prosecutors said first-degree murder and hate crime defendant Joseph Czuba, 72, targeted the family due to their Muslim faith and in connection with the ongoing conflict in the Middle East involving Hamas and Israel, Patch reported.

"This unbelievable act of hatred left all of us speechless," brewery staff wrote in a Facebook post. "We hugged our loved ones, held them close and didn't want to believe that an event like this could take place. Through the tragic nature of this event we must find strength as a community, a town, a city, a world."

The beer is not only intended to spread a message of solidarity, but also to raise money for Amnesty International, a non-governmental organization that supports human rights. Werk Force will donate 10 percent of its sales of "Hate Has No Home In This Town" to the United Kingdom-headquartered group.

"We invite everyone to come together in solidarity condemning this and any act of hatred," staff said. "We are all born with innocence and we need to understand, accept and embrace all of our brothers and sisters."

Werk Force staff said the "Hate Has No Home In This Town" brew is a West Coast-style IPA with notes of spruce, dank and fresh citrus. The beer has an alcohol by volume of 6.6 percent.

See the brewery's description of the IPA: "Rich malty flavor from pale, Munich and aromatic malts with smooth finish from copious amounts of flaked oats. We then heavily dry hopped it with Citra and Simcoe lending huge aromatics of pine, grapefruit and fresh zested oranges."

The new beer became available on draft and in to-go packs of four.
