PLAINFIELD, IL — Indian Boundary Road will close for about three months to accommodate bridge work, village officials said.

"D" Construction, of Coal City, will helm the project that begins Aug. 12, requiring the road to close to through traffic between Rowley Road and Creekside Drive. Local access will only be provided to residences and businesses.

Construction will include removing and replacing the culvert conveying Spring Hole Creek across Indian Boundary Road, which will also be widened and reconstructed between Rowley Road and Creekside Drive.

Improvements will also include new pavement, curbs and gutters, and sidewalks; a new storm sewer, water main and hydrants; streetlight upgrades; and final landscaping and restoration.

The village hired Joliet-based Strand Associates, Inc., to perform construction observation services.
