PLAINFIELD, IL — More traffic controls will be implemented starting next week at the intersection of Route 59 and 143rd Street in Plainfield.

The project is part of the 143rd Street Corridor improvements to complete roadway connections from Ridge Road to Route 126. The Plainfield Public Works Department announced the work in a Facebook post Friday morning.

Due to construction, lanes will be reduced and traffic will be shifted in all directions approaching the signal. The traffic control is expected to be in place for about three weeks, officials said.
