Betty M. Watters, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Alden Courts of Waterford in Aurora, Illinois.

Born May 11, 1936, in Skokie, Illinois, she was the daughter of Carl and Stella (Ahrens) Febrow. On February 4, 1956, Betty married John B. Watters, Jr., with whom she shared 69 wonderful years.

Betty was a devoted member of her community and her faith, playing the organ for many years at St. Timothy Church in Lombard. She loved her dogs dearly and found joy in creating greeting cards and crocheting.

Betty is survived by her beloved husband, John; her children, Julie George, Douglas (Carol) Watters, and Deborah (Gerald) Ebenroth; as well as many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Dawn Lovetere; her grandson, Brian Wegner; and her brother, Lester Febrow.

Private family services for Betty M. Watters will be held at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, Joliet. Burial will take place at Plainfield Township Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty’s name to any animal rescue organization of the donor’s choice.
