Overnight Lane Closures Planned On Route 59 In Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, IL — Overnight lane closures are planned for Thursday and Friday along Route 59 in Plainfield.

The contractor working on the 143rd Street East Extension project is scheduled to work overnight along Route 59, north and south of the 143rd Street intersection, requiring a temporary lane closure in each direction between 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Crews will remove the median in advance of staging traffic for the intersection improvements, according to an alert from the Village of Plainfield.

The outside lanes will remain open to traffic during construction. Drivers are advised to use caution when traveling through the work zone.
