Plainfield Man ‘Barked’ At Neighbor ‘Without Provocation’: Cops
Jailed for the second time in less than six months, the Plainfield man was previously accused of shooting a woman with a pellet gun.

PLAINFIELD, IL — A Plainfield man previously accused of shooting a woman with a pellet gun faces additional charges after a dispute with a neighbor on Sunday evening, police said.
Andrew Lytle, 44, was charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing identification and threatening a public official after an incident that started when he "barked and yelled" at a neighbor who was walking their dog, Sgt. Luke Ostreko told Patch.
Plainfield officers were called to the 16000 block of South Burgandy Drive at about 8 p.m. Sunday. The dog walker, who had been walking across the street from the Lytle's house, said Lytle's behavior was "without provocation," according to Ostreko.

"Lytle's behavior frightened the neighbor so much that they ran to their residence and contacted the police," Ostreko said, adding that Lytle continued to yell even after his neighbor asked him to stop.
When officers spoke to Lytle, he "refused to identify himself and continued to act erratically and yelled and swore at them." The victim told officers they wanted to pursue charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing identification, according to Ostreko.

While he was being driven to the Plainfield Police Department, Lytle made explicit and "specific threatening statements" toward officers, resulting in the third charge of threatening a public official. At the station, Lytle continued to make inappropriate statements toward officers and "acted erratically during arrest processing," the sergeant said.
It's Lytle's second time landing in jail in less than six months. On Aug. 11, he was charged with four counts of domestic battery — two felonies and two misdemeanors — after prosecutors alleged he shot a woman multiple times, including in the face, with a pellet gun while intoxicated. He was admitted to the Will County jail early that morning and released the next afternoon.
