Plainfield PD Releases July Enforcement Campaign Numbers
Plainfield police hosted a month-long speed enforcement campaign in July.

PLAINFIELD, IL — During Plainfield Police Department's month-long traffic safety campaign in July, officers issued a total of 95 tickets, officials said Thursday.
In July, police partnered with the Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois State Police and more than 200 local law enforcement agencies to increase patrols looking for speeding and other traffic violations. Officers intensified enforcement of posted speed limits, Patch reported.
Police wrote tickets for the following citations:

- 78 speeding
- 10 seat belt
- 3 uninsured drivers
- 4 expired registrations
Officers also made one traffic-related arrest.
The effort was paid for using federal traffic safety funds from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
