Plainfield Thanksgiving Enforcement Results Are In: 47 Tickets Issued
The Thanksgiving "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign lasted from Nov. 22 to Dec. 2.

PLAINFIELD, IL — The Plainfield Police Department issued a total of 47 citations during its Thanksgiving traffic safety enforcement campaign, officials revealed Monday.
Officers conducted the enforcement from Nov. 22 to Dec. 2. In participation with Illinois State Police and other local law enforcement agencies, the campaign used slogans "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" to "emphasize safety education, strong laws and law enforcement’s commitment to saving lives."

- 8 for other traffic-related violations
The effort was made possible by federal traffic safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
