Plainfield Weather: St. Patrick's Day Warm But Rainy
Luck might run out on St. Patrick's Day Thursday as forecasts show an 80 percent chance of rain — the first rainy day this week.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Plainfield has been treated to warm, spring-like weather this week, and the warmth is supposed to continue into St. Patrick's Day on Thursday. But it won't be all sunshine as the forecast shows weather to be cloudy with a passing shower.
Plainfield has seen sunshine and no rain so far this week, but the luck ends with the 80 percent chance of rain on St. Patrick's Day. Meteorologists expect the rain to continue into the weekend before the sun once again comes out Sunday.
Chances of rain Thursday will start to increase as the temperature rises, forecasts show. The warmest part of the day — between 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. — also shows the highest chance of rain, between 47 to 51 percent.
