PLAINFIELD, IL — Many restaurants in Plainfield will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but some will remain open to serve people who don't want to fuss with a big meal, are traveling or don't celebrate the holiday.

• La Dolce Vita, 16108 S. Route 59, will be open from 3-7 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Reservations can be made by calling 815-733-5521.
• Nabby's Restaurant, 14802 N. Michigan St., will be open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
• Milkshake and Cookies will be open from noon to 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Reservations for a dozen or more cookies should be placed by noon Dec. 23.
