Trick-Or-Treating In Plainfield: 2025 Hours Revealed

Trick-or-treaters will have another chance to collect candy ahead of Halloween at the annual Spooktacular.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Fall weather has descended upon Plainfield, and that means Halloween is right around the corner.

The holiday falls on a Friday this year, and the Village of Plainfield set its recommended trick-or-treating hours for 4-8 p.m. Oct. 31.

Families will have another opportunity to trick-or-treat and celebrate the fall at the annual Spooktacular, hosted Oct. 25 by the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., locals can trick-or-treat at participating businesses, take photos in a photo booth, join in craft and costume contests, have fun balloons made, and play a haunted word game. Several vendors will also have booths set up.

  • If you choose to hand out candy, please turn on your outside lights.
  • If you do not wish to participate, please make sure your outside lights are turned off.
  • Make sure that trick-or-treaters have a clear field of vision and wear light colors or put reflective tape on their costumes.
  • Be careful when crossing streets and check both directions for cars.
  • Do not enter any homes.
  • Check all treats in a well-lit area after returning home and only eat unopened candy that is in the original packaging.
  • Respect others and their property.
