Wires Block Route 59, Road Temporarily Closed: Plainfield PD
Drivers should avoid Route 59 in Plainfield while part of the road is closed Monday afternoon.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Route 59 is shut down Monday afternoon to traffic due to wires in the road, Plainfield police said.
In an alert published around 2:50 p.m., officials asked drivers to avoid the state route between Route 30 and Renwick Road. Passersby should use alternate routes until the road reopens.
Police said they will share updates as they become available.
