Civil Air Patrol Participates at Wreaths Across America

Lewis Composite Squadron of Group 2, Illinois Wing, Civil Air Patrol at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery on 13 December 2025

23 September 2025. Each year, our Lewis Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol proudly takes part in Wreaths Across America, a heartfelt tradition of laying wreaths at Abraham Lincoln Cemetery in Elwood, IL to honor those who served our country.

Every wreath placed is more than just decoration, it is a lasting tribute, a symbol of gratitude, and a promise that the sacrifices of our heroes will never be forgotten. This meaningful event offers the community an opportunity to come together, support our cadets, and participate in a powerful act of remembrance on December 13, 2025 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

You can join in by sponsoring a wreath or volunteering your time to help lay wreaths alongside these dedicated young leaders.There is no cost to attend the event on Wreaths Day, all are welcome to join. Together, we ensure that the courage and service of our veterans are honored and remembered for generations to come.
