Romeoville police have locally detained individuals this month on charges ranging from possession of a controlled substance to theft.

ROMEOVILLE, IL - Romeoville police have locally detained individuals this month from cities including Joliet, Rockdale, Chicago, Crest Hill and Naperville.
Below, find a rundown of the recently logged criminal charges.

Police arrested Monte Alexander, 38, of Joliet, around 4 a.m. on Sept. 6 on an in-state warrant. He was charged with retail theft.

Lance Miller, 31, of Joliet, was arrested around 4 a.m. on Sept. 6 and charged with retail theft.

Johnathan Gaitan-Herrera, 22, of Joliet, was arrested shortly after noon on Sept. 6 near Route 53 and Taylor Road, where he was charged with driving without a valid driver's license, speeding and illegal use of a cell phone. His bail was set at $1,500.

Police arrested Brian Ortiz, 19, of Romeoville, around 11:15 p.m. on Sept. 6 in the 300 block Fairfax Avenue. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Jyloni Branch, 28, of Romeoville, was arrested around 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 7 near Highpoint Drive and Harmony Lane, where he was charged with aggravated battery and theft of more than $500.

Salvador Ramirez-Delgado, 26, of Joliet, was arrested around 8 p.m. on Sept. 7 near Route 53 and Taylor Road. He was charged with driving with a revoked license, improper lighting, and failure to secure a child in a safety restraint. His bail was set at $1,500.

Police arrested 27-year-old Joshua Hernandez, 27, homeless, around 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 7 near Taylor Road and Southcreek Parkway. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and his bail was set at $1,500.

Bregana Walker, 23, of Rockdale, was arrested around 11:42 p.m. on Sept. 7. Police detained Walker near Taylor Road and Route 53, where she was accused of driving with a suspended license, speeding, obstructing identification and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Her bail was set at $2,000.

Around 12:15 a.m. on Sept. 8, police arrested 23-year-old Joliet resident, Sergio Gloria. He was pulled over near Route 53 and Romeo Road, where police said he was speeding more than 35 mph over the posted limit. He also failed to yield to an emergency vehicle, according to the report. His bail was set at $2,000.

Frank Ambrose, 56, of Chicago, was accused around 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 8 with unauthorized use of a prescription form. Police took Ambrose into custody in the 400 block of North Weber Road.

Police arrested 27-year-old Crest Hill resident, Gary Hill, around 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 in the first block of South Weber Road on two in-state warrants. He faces one count each of obstructing identification and illegal transportation of alcohol.

Nicholas Anderson, 22, of Crest Hill, was arrested just before 10 p.m. on Sept. 8 near Weber and Taylor roads on an in-state warrant.

Police arrested Whitney Edwards, 28, of Joliet, around 1 a.m. on Sept. 9 near Weber and Renwick roads. She was charged with unlawful use of a weapon, driving under the influence and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Police arrested 29-year-old homeless man, Brandon Travelstead, around 9:45 a.m. on Sept. 11. He was taken into custody in the 600 block of North Independence Boulevard on an in-state warrant.

Magali Salgado-Martinez, 39, of Joliet, was arrested shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 11 near Route 53 and Taylor Road, where she was charged with driving with a suspended license and improper lane use. Her bail was set at $1,500.

Anthony Benford, 29, of Chicago, was taken into custody just before 9 p.m. on Sept. 13 in the 2000 block of Whitmore Drive. He was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle and driving without a valid driver's license. His bail was set at $1,500.

Police arrested 25-year-old Naperville resident, Jenna Schreier, around 12:15 a.m. on Sept. 14 near Weber and Airport roads. She was taken into custody on an in-state warrant. Her bail was set at $500.
