Eastbound Lockport Street Closures Start July 15

ROMEOVILLE, IL — For those who travel into Plainfield, road closures at Airport Road and Lockport Street will soon affect your commute.

According to the Village of Romeoville, Airport Road and Lockport Street will be closed to all eastbound traffic starting on July 15.

The closure is part of the Village of Plainfield's Old Town North Roadway Reconstruction project.

Westbound traffic will not be affected, according to the Village of Romeoville. For those traveling eastbound, drivers will have to take the detour of Route 59 to Route 30 to Renwick Road.

The detour is anticipated to be in place through October.
