Need Help Getting Around Romeoville? Here's Who Can Help

These organizations offer low-cost transportation assistance to seniors and people with disabilities.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — If you or anyone you know needs transportation assistance in Romeoville, several organizations are standing by to help.

Romeoville's Ride Around Town offers residents rides to locations within a 10-mile radius of the village. It's perfect for doctor's appointments, shopping or dining and operates Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fees range from $2 to $18 for a round trip, depending on how far you need to go. Meanwhile, DuPage Township contracts with Pace Dial-a-Ride to help seniors or people with disabilities with transportation within the township's boundaries. The service provides door-to-door transportation, but must be reserved the Thursday before the week you need transportation. The fee is $1 for a one-way trip, and you must apply for a card three to four weeks in advance. Call 800-244-4410 for more information.

Lockport Township also operates a senior transit system that provides bus service inside Lockport and to area health care facilities. The bus will pick you up from your front door, but reservations are required 24 hours in advance.
