Public Hearing Planned To Discuss I-55, Airport Road Improvements

A public hearing about the project will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Ovation Center, 349 S. Weber Road.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A public hearing is planned on Sept. 25 in Romeoville, as part of outreach efforts for the Interstate 55 improvements at Airport Road/Lockport Street and at IL 126.

A public hearing about the project will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the Ovation Center, 349 S. Weber Road. Exhibitions will be on display and a presentation will be shown throughout the hearing; and project team members will also answer questions.

The public hearing is to "ensure the users of I-55 and the surrounding roadway network have the opportunity for meaningful input into the project’s development," according to the Village of Romeoville.

The Villages of Romeoville, Bolingbrook and Plainfield, and IDOT, are leading the phase 1 study and planning process with the Federal Highway Administration.
