The northbound Joliet Road ramp to I-55 north will be closed for seven days.
ROMEOVILLE, IL —The northbound Joliet Road ramp to Interstate 55 north will close for seven days, starting on Monday, according to the Village of Romeoville.
This closure is a week later than what was originally announced by IDOT, the Village said. Traffic will be able to go southbound on Joliet Road from I-55.
Work on Joliet Road has been ongoing over the last few weeks, including at northbound Joliet Road to I-355, and at I-55 south to Joliet Road, according to a release from IDOT.

The work is all part of a $2.3 million project, which includes construction of new shoulders and replacing deteriorated curbs. The project should be done before the end of the year, according to IDOT.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area, IDOT said in a release. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
