Romeoville HS Plans For Outdoor Graduation Ceremony In June

Teams at Romeoville High School are developing plans to hold outdoor ceremonies on June 5, with June 6 as a back-up date if needed.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Despite the ongoing pandemic, Valley View School District administrators are getting ready to celebrate graduation.

Teams at Romeoville High School are developing plans to hold outdoor ceremonies on June 5, with June 6 as a back-up date if needed due to inclement weather. The Middle School Teams will also be developing plans for an outdoor celebration for 8th grade promotion on the evening of June 3, with June 4 as a back-up date.

"We're taking into consideration both last year's positive experiences with graduation and promotion, as well as additional feedback that we have received in planning these events," the district said in an email. "The teams will plan with health and safety as a priority while also ensuring that we provide a memorable experience and the high level of recognition that our kids deserve."
