Romeoville Marijuana Dispensary Owners Will Field Your Pot Questions Saturday

A local brother and sister duo are hosting an informational session about medical marijuana on Saturday.

ROMEOVILLE – Romeoville business owners Nicole A. van Rensburg and William Hollandar certainly know the ins and outs of the medical marijuana industry. But they say many people are unaware of key basics, such as the treatment's availability in topical and edible forms.

That's why the brother and sister duo – owners of the local medical marijuana dispensary, Midwest Compassion Center – often host informational events like this Saturday's "Is Medical Marijuana Right for You?" Their local Illinois-sanctioned center is at 1335 Lakeside Drive, but the Aug. 20 session will be held at Crest Hill Branch Library, 20670 Len Kubinski Drive in Crest Hill.

"Hollander and van Rensburg feel it’s their social responsibility to educate the community about treatment options for medical marijuana’s 40 qualifying conditions," reported the Herald News. These include post-traumatic stress disorder, cancer, AIDS, glaucoma, lupus, multiple sclerosis, residual limb pain and fibromyalgia, the most common condition, van Rensburg said."
