Romeoville Police Issue 35 Citations During Memorial Day Enforcement
During the enforcement period focusing on seatbelt usage, the Romeoville Police Department wrote five citations for seat belt violations.
ROMEOVILLE, IL — Romeoville Police Department announced it issued 35 citations during the recent Memorial Day enforcement period.
“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and spread the word that seat belts save lives,” Sergeant Brian McClellan said in a release.
During the enforcement period focusing on seatbelt usage, the Romeoville Police Department wrote five citations for seat belt violations; and also wrote one child car seat citation, two no valid driver’s license arrests, three uninsured motorists, seven speeding citations, 11 distracted driving citations and one aggravated speeding citation/arrest

The “Click It or Ticket” campaign is funded with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
