Section Of Route 53 Closed In Romeoville Due To Gas Leak

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A section of Route 53 is closed in both directions in Romeoville on Wednesday, according to a notification from the Village of Romeoville.

Route 53 is closed from Normantown to Belmont due to a gas leak. NICOR and emergency personnel are at the scene, the Village said.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
